A collection of new Gundam projects were announced via a livestream held on May 15, including an upcoming remaster of the original 1979 anime series that started it all, Mobile Suit Gundam. The globally beloved franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2029, and in the years leading up to the main celebration,Gundam fans can look forward to tons of new content, including an official 'Gundam-Con' event, the opening of a massive Gundam facility in Japan, a collaboration with Hololive, and a new visual project to commemorate 30 years of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
