28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Star Wants Dead by Daylight To Add Him to the Game, But He's Only 15

Dead by Daylight is no stranger to a crossover, and one 15-year-old star of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple wants to be next in line.

Alfie Williams portrays Spike in the film having first appeared in the role in last year’s 28 Years Later.

To date, Dead by Daylight hasn’t crossed over with the 28 Days franchise, but Williams is eagerly trying to make it happen.

The young actor recently sat down with IGN where he put forth his argument and, well, I can’t really fault it.

“I’d love that man. I’d love that,” he said, when asked about a potential crossover.

“I know they bring Stranger Things in, so they can have minors in the game. So … maybe,” he concluded.

I wish I could say people were onboard with the idea but they were more preoccupied with Williams calling Springtrap overpowered.

I’m not about to weigh in with my two cents on that debate.

I can’t blame Williams for shooting his shot though. Dead by Daylight’s devs could hear his plea.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Is Off to a Mixed Start

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple has fared well with both critics and cinemagoers.

On aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, it currently boasts a Tomatometer score of 93% and a Popcornmeter score of 89%.

For comparison, last year’s 28 Years Later sits at 88% and 63% respectively.

Strangely though, The Bone Temple isn’t fairing quite as well at the box office so far. It was projected to earn $18 to $20 million in the US in its opening weekend.

It’s tracking much closer to $15 million after four days. If you narrow it down to a typical three day timeframe, the film came in at $13 million. We

In the same space of time, three days, 28 Years Later garnered $30 million at the US box office. That’s a whopping 50% drop.

I don’t think this is reason for too much alarm. 28 Years Later was the franchise’s big comeback, so that was always going to get extra bums in seats.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is still dominating the box office, so it could be that more folks will get around to seeing The Bone Temple in due course.

My concern is that people are viewing The Bone Temple as a spin-off and therefore optional, mainly due to how it’s named.

It’s not a spin-off though, serving as the fourth mainline film in the 28 Days series.

If you want to see Cillian Murphy in a potential fifth film, I’d urge you to buy a ticket to see The Bone Temple. Otherwise, fans risk that never becoming an eventuality.
