Releasing in 2011, Shameless (US) quickly became an iconic drama series thanks to its dark comedy and raw portrayal of the dysfunctional Gallagher family. It's based on the UK show of the same name, and though the UK version is often considered grittier, the US TV show maintains a much better focus on the core Gallagher family.
