When one imagines a princess, they're likely to meet with two images: the classic princess in a tower who needs rescuing from a gallant prince, or a princess who prefers doing the rescuing herself. With the recent reimagining of Snow White, the upcoming Shrek 4, and coming-soon Frozen installments, fans of princess archetypes will have no shortage of IPs that will try to show more dimensions of these royal daughters.
